[It’s late evening when Melanie returns from her mission, and despite the rain, she’s just glad to be back.

She's got a few small scrapes and bruises here and there and she's feeling exhausted, but she'll worry about all of that later. First she's off to the item shop so she can get a damn umbrella, because like hell she's walking back to CH1 in this rain. Sure, she doesn't mind the weather, but she's not exactly fond of getting soaking wet, either.

So, once that's taken care of, Melanie will head back to her apartment so she can clean herself up.

... Oh, yeah. Should probably take care of something else, too.]

Happy anniversary. [Six months is something that should be acknowledged, right? ... Well, it's the longest that she's ever been with anyone, at least. So that counts for something.]

We are... well, sort of. We didn't really get to know each other that much before you were sent home.

[She grins.]

Great! Well, than. You should tell me all about yourself, for starters.

Well, I've been here for eight months now and I'm from Gotham. [...] Not that you'd know where that is.

[gleamed]

Nope! I don't. What's it like?

[tenofspades]

It's big. There are lots of tall buildings, cars... it's rarely quiet and there's almost always some kind of construction going on somewhere. [With all the damage that happens on a day to day basis, they'd pretty much have to.] There's a big crime problem, but [Batman] the police can usually take care of things. But it's not such a bad place as long as you know where to go and how to take care of yourself.

[Pshaw, Rapunzel knows ALL ABOUT taking care of criminals.]

You should try a frying pan if you ever need to defend yourself! They really come in handy.

But, she's talking to Rapunzel right now. Focus on that.]

You have? Did I tell you about it last time I was here? I could show you how to handle one sometime, if you like!

... Sort of. Flynn was using one once while we were fighting together. But you mentioned it, too.

[The offer earns a small laugh, though.]

[Her heart skips a beat.]

...You knew--Flynn, too?

... Yeah. He and I were friends, though he went home around the same time you did, I think. [She wasn't around when it happened, but. Yeah.]

[gleamed]

[She smiles fondly.]

I'm glad. He's...a very good friend.

[Even though defining what Eugene is to her right now is a liiiittle bit tough.]

He is. [BUT. He's not here anymore. And hasn't been here for a long time. Baw.]

Anyway, have you been okay? [...] Since coming here, I mean.

[gleamed]

Hmm? [Sorry, sort of...got caught up in thoughts, there.]

Oh, yes! I have. It's...kind of nice here, really!

It is. [Pause.] Well, the people are, anyway.

[If not for all the people she's met and gotten close to here, Melanie is pretty sure she'd hate this place just as much as everyone else.]

I know, right? [Yep, Rapunzel is a big fan of the people.] They're so nice. And so helpful, too!

They are. It certainly makes being here easier.

Who are your best friends, Melanie?

[She'll have to make a note to keep an eye out for them.]

Um. [... Who does she hang out with other than Kurt? Well, whatever. She'll think about that later.]

Well. There's my boyfriend, Kurt. He's kind of hard to miss. [What with being blue and fuzzy.]

[gleamed]

Really? What's he like?

[Aww, happy couples.]

Kurt's... sweet. He's kind, supportive, interesting... kind of funny, too. [In a number of ways.] He's a good guy to have around.

He's also blue. [Proooobably worth mentioning, so Rapunzel won't be surprised if she ever sees him.]

[And then misunderstandings happened.]

Oh...that's too bad! We better do something to help him feel better, then!
